i kind of felt sorry for my mother when she arrived last april 5. she's gotten used to cold san francisco - and then she comes home to the philippines at the peak of summer heat. >.>

was worth it though, she said. she came home for kuya mox's graduation, and took enough pictures and videos of the event to provide as evidence to our relatives in the US that yes, it really has finally happened! rofl.

we all fooled around taking turns wearing kuya's toga (yes, including my mom O_O) and taking pictures, which i will not post because we all looked so silly. >.> when it was my turn, i tried to pose seriously, but then my mom took a whole-body shot, and you could see my slippers under the toga. o_o

( but here's one picture, during the graduation itself, just to mark this joyous event (and in which i think i look fairly decent). )

the day after the graduation, we went to the beach at real, quezon. the sea was amazing. it was cloudy so the sun wasn't searing hot. kaida absolutely enjoyed building a huge sand structure (which could either be a fairy castle or Minas Morgul, one can't be entirely sure) and splashing about the shallow waves.

the next day, we held a small dinner party in celebration of the graduation. thanks to all who came, even with such short notice! the text on the cake read, "way to go.. at last!" rofl.

my mom's flight back to the US was april 18, the day after the party. the two weeks she was here just flew by, it was depressing she already had to go.

it was particularly heartbreaking for me to see her off at the airport. she's been burnt out with work in the US and really needed this vacation. i can tell from her body language that she didn't want to go back yet. it was what made me cry when we got back home from the airport.

but i'm sure the next months will zoom by, and it will be december, and not only ina will be coming home to the philippines but ama and abram as well. i'm really looking forward to all of us being together again.

am not the type to regularly hunt for or make cat macros or lolcats, but i do find that the few i do encounter can be cute and amusing. this is (or not) a feeble attempt at making one, i guess? XD

i kind of feel sorry for Method. they're going through what RC went through during its peak time: getting bashed because they are strong (granted, it's true) and they're surrounded by jologs who mock those stronger than them.

my sympathy and their similarity with RC stops there, however.

RC maintained their standards. the guild was not perfect, but it never resorted to foul tactics. 'bastusan na'? you just made yourselves look stupid, after all that high and mighty talk. you are positioning yourselves to deserve every bit of trashtalk you are receiving.

i'm very disappointed.

but to the templars: i'm proud of all of us. we never gave an inch 'just to win.'

in other news, the past few days i've been downloading video game mp3s, ebooks, and comic book scans like crazy. hooray for piracy!

and the most precious gem i've downloaded thus far: the complete 'lenore: the cute little dead girl' comics!



i first encountered 'lenore' during college. she just captured my heart with just one issue. XD now i have the whole series, yay~

#13 is due to come out july 2007.. hope to get a copy of that as soon as possible. XD

i used art by Luis Royo again. the girl in my default user pic has haunted me for quite some time now, and look: she has this little dragon beside her. maybe i'm just picturing kaida, because lord knows she's been the one on my mind recently.

regarding sponsored+ account, i was checking out the features and noticed that you could make your own mood themes. does this mean that i could use ragnarok online emoticons? that would be great.

broadband internet is coming yay!!

pldt contacted us today and said ports were already available in our area. unfortunately, our application details of four effin' months ago were lost. always a catch. pif. we had to reapply, but if things go smoothly (and we hope to the good lord they do), we will be able to have dsl in two weeks' time. yay!

after siege in ragnarok online tonight, aru spotted orc hero, an MVP boss in the game. he asked me to try and take him down just one time. his knight and my priestess used to take on boss monsters when i was still able to play often.

it's a bit difficult to defeat a boss monster with a knight and priestess; the usual party is composed of a priestess and a wizard or hunter, who deal very high damage, or it takes a party of a minimum of three. i figured that now we've transcended to lord knight and high priestess, orc hero would be easy. well, he wasn't, apparently. the mob got nerfed. before, if you didn't kill the boss' mob, the boss wouldn't spawn any more. this time, orc hero kept summoning more mobs, so that i was taking damage from up to four sets of high orcs instead of the usual one set.

we were able to defeat orc hero soon enough. i was only able to take two screenshots during the fight because i was so busy keeping ourselves alive. ~_~ this was the best shot of the two. it's our first MVP as transcendents. ^^

as knight and priestess, we've defeated eddga, orc hero, moonlight flower, dracula, hatii, golden thief bug, phreeoni, incantation samurai, tao gunka, and amazingly, even lord of death. (good god that one took a lot of resurrections to defeat). we plan to take them on again as transcendents when we get the chance, just to renew our skills. ^^

i was able to survive that fight using dial-up with back-up slim white pots and praying to the heavens above that i don't lag or that kaida doesn't wake up at that time. XD since broadband internet is coming soon, kaida will be the only one left to determine when i can hunt again. XD
