i don't know why i'm expending so much effort to try and get into eraserhead's guest list for their final concert on saturday.

i don't even know the band personally, and the closest contact i've had with them was an introduction to buddy zabala during the time he was playing bass for ASIN's last album way back in 2000. he would know my father well, and i have heard that the band respects his music, but other than that, i would have no other merit in getting into their guest list. XD i would imagine there would be other people more qualified to be in that list, whether they be the band's family members or closest friends, maybe even a daughter of an "influential" person who held someone from the production at gunpoint to get her on the list. lol! just kidding. XD

i thought it would be worth a try, though. after all, it would be such a waste if indeed there was some chance we could watch the concert.

but the downside is, as with most situations in which i try to insinuate myself, i usually just end up horribly embarrassing myself. XD

whether or not i am successful in my attempts, well, i don't know. chances really are very slim - minute, even - but who knows. ^^;;

fck firefox 3.

i can't bear the errors i get whenever i access web pages with lots of ads. i can't bear having to restart downloads when i get the stupid errors. i can't bear having to restart downloads because it disabled free download manager and you have to use their download manager. the last straw was when YM links started opening with IE and not firefox.

i'm going back to firefox 2. someone notify me when the above issues are resolved, only then will i upgrade.

personally, i think the videos need a bit more work. from what i understand, though, these aren't the final versions of both vids.

but really, all the while i was watching i was really just amazed at how my parents can still be at it at their age. XD ang galing talaga nila, i'm so proud! ^^; they make really good songs.

speaking of which, ang grupong pendong will be on a 3-month US tour around late may of this year, and my parents are bringing aru along with them as session guitarist. i'm dying with envy. D: i miss both my parents and aru's the one who gets to be with them, on real gigs no less. =_=

the hana kimi ost makes me cry. ;_;

will be performing with aru's band at the nihonggo fiesta tomorrow. ~_~ i'm pretty nervous about it since it's been a while since i last sang in public. T_T

i doubt i'll be able to attend the my first gig at the kolumn bar later that evening, though. if we leave early for the nihonggo fiesta, the total time i'd be away from kaida would be too long if i also go to the late night gig.

s'ok though, i doubt i'd be in the mood to enjoy the gig since the restlessness i've been feeling has manifested itself into a minor cold/cough.. which really does not bode well for our performance tomorrow. T__T

oh, and for valentines, aru gave me three long-stemmed roses and permission to get an additional piercing on my right ear. much love to him for the latter. ♥ (yeah, and ignore the roses LOL!)

on an afterthought, i watched this tv show once on filipino delinquent youths, and there was this one kid talking about ear piercings and how they get their left ear pierced because if you had your right ear pierced (or, if you have a both ears pierced, you had more piercings at the right ear), that means that you're gay.

..fail. ._.

ang grupong pendong performed their last gig last wednesday. too bad i didn't have the chance to advertise because of stellar internet.

their subic gig was also great, after which we were able to go to the beach. it was kaida's first time to swim in the ocean! will post pics as soon as multiply cooperates. (i still have to upload her birhday pictures, too. ~_~)

one thing i found out about my mom: she developed a taste for starbucks during their first months in the US (most probably because their coffee shops are literally everywhere in that country). during the road trip to and from subic, she kept stopping by starbucks and buying coffee for the whole band. i suddenly found myself clutching a card 8 stickers short of a starbucks planner. shrugged and filled up the remainder of the card myself. yay instant planner. XD

i really am particular about planners. a simple one would have sufficed, but the starbucks planner appealed to me because of the wide space for entries. however, i did still buy a complementary papemelroti month view mini-planner and attached it at the back of the starbucks one because i just have to have a month-view planner.

am geeky. i know.

aru finally bought his own pc! thanks to louie and slaves for helping us buy chedeng. XD

yeah, you got that right: aru bought a CPU case with the logo of mercedes benz on it. ROFL.

he got (more or less) his gaming specs for a relatively cheap price, but what i'm really drooling over is the 1GB ram he splurged on. *O* the speed combined with his processor is just.. gah. *throws old P4 1.8GHz processor out the window*

work finally eased up a bit so i have more time now, but then family demands more time now, too, with shopping and going out and general bonding. wala rin. o_O

so i took this test i gacked from charsequil which supposedly measures your musical skills.

i got a score of 80.4, and then of course aru just had to take the test, too, but got a rather disappointing score which i will not post for his sake. o_o

of course he immediately had negative thoughts about his musical skills, and i just had to bop him over the head and told him that it wasn't a reflection of the way he makes his music, which is, of course, beautiful. (walang kokontra!!)

i think i got a good enough score because of my transcription training which honed my hearing sensitivity. i think. lol.

i guess i'm generally in an odd mood. the onset of october always makes me feel a little giddy with building excitement for my day at the end of the month. haha i guess i'm always like that with special days.

however, recent turbulent events throw in a negative vibe to building excitement, resulting in a rather odd mix of plain ngslkdrhtskksdjfhtgkwenrg.

..i feel restless. i feel as if there this grand canyon-sized gap that i have to jump across to get to something.. and i don't know what that something is. forgive the rather lame attempt at waxing poetic, i guess i just don't know how to describe this feeling. XD
