our Knights Templar comrade, Fred Chen, suffered a stroke this morning. he's admitted at the Chinese General Hospital; he's still comatose.

kaida's second birthday last november 25 was great! thanks to all who came. ^__^v

went to the ppc christmas get-together last sunday with kaida. she went swimming at the pool, but got cold and didn't want to stay long. >__< it's only the third time she's gone swimming, the first one at a hot spring and the second time at the beach, so i guess she's not used to cold pool water yet.

the party was fun, aru and i won original discs for war of the ring and ground control 2. ^^v

aru didn't win the call of duty 4 tourney though, he got owned by aggroelf during the prelims. XD

after swimming, playing with nadia (her new ~*friend*~!) and gobbling up dinner, kaida fell asleep in an upstairs room so we took the opportunity to drink socialise. ^__^

watched 'kamikaze girls' at the eiga sai showing yesterday in the UP FC with aru, slaves, and louie. movie was great. anna tsuchiya was hot. O.O

i guess i just find it funny how japanese movies come out almost like anime. it was like watching live action manga. XD i guess that's the thing with anything japanese, i dunno. o.O

as expected, saw a lot of friends, saw allslashedout and her new hair XD and lethologica and neiarc and TK and AME people. there was this long line when we arrived, but fortunately we got (semi)good seats.

i was wondering about something, though.

there were these girls in line behind us talking about japanese stuff, and i overheard one girl saying, "you must buy me manga."

her companion replied, "what kind?"

the first girl said, "yaoi."

and they both laughed.

i dunno.. is yaoi really mainstream now? o__O

i used to recall odd looks and raised eyebrows then and omfgsupersecret yaoi film viewings.. okay, maybe not so secret ROFL.

i guess my primary reaction for now is: hmmmmmmmm.

after 3 horrible days of my computer suddenly restarting out of nowhere in the middle of work and play, i was finally able to upgrade my hardware. >.>

so for white day, i treated aru to watch "300," and as kuro_inu said, it was "AB-TASTIC!" lol.

upon seeing all those 'pan de sal' abs, aru looked at his tummy and complained, "i think mine's spanish bread." ROFL.

so my new mobile phone arrived recently.

for a while i couldn't use it because we don't have vodafone here in the philippines. >.> i had it converted to an open line so it could accomodate my smart sim card.

the problem that i encountered with it was that it displayed the phonebook entries via sim position, not alphabetically, so that whenever i had to send an sms i had to scroll through nearly 250 phonebook entries before i found the right number. ~_~

so i'm erasing the numbers in my sim card memory and i will be using the phone memory which can store up to 500 numbers and displays the entries alphabetically.

if you are on my YM list you would probably have received a message sent to all wherein i said that i needed your mobile phone numbers again.

i extend this message to my LJ friends who are not on my YM list. so this is very important. please take the time to read this: i will screen the comments to this post for your privacy. please list your first name, last name, mobile phone number, and birthday so i can update my phonebook. thank you so much!

(random: my mood reads 'sick' because i got a nasty case of colds that i got from, of all people, kaida. >.>)

i really would just like to thank all who greeted me via LJ, sms message, e-mail, those who called, etc.

i would also like to apologize, i did not throw a formal celebration of sorts because i blew all the birthday money my mom sent to buy kaida a spiffy new bike. LOL!

still, some friends and relatives went over armed with food and drinks so we had a good time just talking and eating and drinking. it's been quite a while since i celebrated a birthday with people other than family. ^^

i was also kind of surprised when they came over. although they did tell me they were coming, i was sort of unprepared because i didn't really plan anything concrete for my birthday. my mind was far into planning for kaida's first birthday on november already. XD motherhood does that to me. :P

anyway. to those invited to the chp2006, it's going to be held at my house. in addition to bathala's mandate of "no costume, no admission!" i add this: "no gift, no admission!"

whew. i needed that break from work. i've started home-based work again, and the load took me a bit by surprise. =_=

i read through my entire flist again to find out what's been happening to people during the time we got stuck in a black hole (that is, having no phone line). and because LJ has a limit of entries in the friends' page, i decided to do this by reading the individual journals of friends.

i like stories. and you have so much to tell. each entry is a piece of you, even layouts say a lot about your personality.

i have great friends. ♥ wala lang. :)
